Copy it and make it your own if it would help you share the awesome God we serve with others. Excited each day with the Lord, which wasn’t always the case with my sinful background. Love in the Lord, Robb:
From my experience of reading the Bible- I didn’t always feel the “love” of Jesus that was in the 4 Gospels. It WAS absolutely there, but I connected far more with the books inspired by the Holy Spirit and penned by Paul. the Apostle Paul always pointed to Jesus Christ, and he shared direct revelation from Jesus Christ. the Gospel is the Person and finished work of Jesus Christ (the historic crucified Lord) and His risen- life-giving work that has continued throughout the ages on earth by born-again men and women who pray to God in Heaven.
The finished work of Jesus began by the Father sending His son- the WORD: Eternal Creator (of every creature, creation, celestial body in the universe) to be born in human flesh, live and struggle every human struggle without a nature that would react sinfully, study and work under a woodworker for decades, be baptized by a prophet who preached repentance, push the physical limits of fasting, tempted by a powerful angel he created to once worship Him, heal ungrateful people with love and compassion, teach disciples who were worried about power and position, be hated at every turn for telling the Truth against the dark ways of this world, suffer the wrath of God the Father on the cross as He bore all the sins of the “world”- all the lawless acts that He despises but carried so they could be removed from our account- He died for us while we were still sinners and He lives to intercede for us when we do still sin!
There is far more love in Jesus Christ than is understandable- He is Worthy. The Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 16: “If anyone does not love the Lord, he is to be accursed. Maranatha!” This is a natural consequence of rejecting the Lord- I point to the Holy Bible and to the Lord Jesus. Romans 10:13 “for “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
